UKRAINE CRISIS: 6 Reliable Organizations You Can Donate To

Here are six reliable organizations in dire need of medical resources, trauma response contributions & monetary donations for Ukraine.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb 24th has left devastating impacts on Ukrainians and this whole act has sparked international outrage with countries imposing sanctions on Russia. At PoweredByPlant, we stand to support communities in need at a crucial period like this so we crafted a list of credible resources you can reliably donate to (list will continuously be updated). 

Even if you are unable to contribute via monetary donations, preventing misinformation and sharing reliable information through word-of-mouth and social media is the best way to ensure everyone stays informed of the truth.

In response to this Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine, the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) will be contributing US$100,000 to support affected communities, working together with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). 

Where your funds go: Funds raised will go towards the provision of relief supplies such as hygiene kits, family kits and household kits for the vulnerable who are displaced by the conflict (up to 800,000 people).


2. City of Goodness

City of Goodness is a women and children international support center and shelter. It is a trusted organization run by Marta Levchenko who devotedly helps sick children and they really need our help at this crucial stage. 

Where your funds go: Every dollar will go to support those kids’ needs. They lack manpower and often, people are not around to help except Marta. Marta is also taking care of the injured, or the killed kids’ families from the shootings.

3. Voices of Children

Voice of Children is a charitable organization that helps children affected by the war in eastern Ukraine. 

Where your funds go: Towards providing psychological and psychosocial support to children that can help them overcome the physical consequences and emotional trauma of armed conflict. 

You can donate to 4 pillars: Art Therapy, Mobile Psychologists, Individual Helps to affected families and video storytelling. You can choose the options here


4. Sunflower of Peace

Sunflower of Peace is a nonprofit organization whose current mission is to provide medical and humanitarian aid for people affected by violence in Ukraine.

Where your funds go: Medical tactical backpacks for paramedics and doctors on the front lines. Each backpack is designed for groups of 5-10 people and has the ability to save up to 10 lives: Ukrainian soldiers, civilians, volunteers, and children. 

They have reached their payment receiving limit on Paypal but they will be accepting donations after 24-48 hours (updated: 27/02/2022)

CARE is a major international humanitarian agency delivering emergency relief and long-term international development projects and they are one of the largest and oldest humanitarian aid organizations focused on fighting global poverty. 

Where your funds go: Immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance — prioritizing women and girls, families, and the elderly.

6. Project Hope

Access to primary health care and medicinal supplies is a significant gap and contributor to poor health outcomes, particularly in eastern Ukraine which is what Project Hope is aiming to address. 

They have actively shipped over more than two tons of essential medicines and medical supplies to affected areas in Feb 26th.  These kits (known as Interagency Emergency Health Kits) aid clinics and health systems in an emergency period as each kit can support 10,000 people for three months.
